Nothing else compares

Nothing on the road compares to this vehicle. It has the utility of a tacoma, the performance and efficiency of a Tesla, and the interior of a luxury vehicle. It can handle tight, twisty mountain roads like few vehicles can, and then jump off the road to crawl up roads that very few stock vehicles can survive. All in silence, and for pennies. - 5.0
Fun to drive and very functional

I have owned it for over 4 months, it has been a great vehicle for daily driving and for running errands. This vehicle exceeded my expectations with its quality build and driving dynamics. Acceleration is exhilarating, it is very maneuverable, fits in the garage just fine, and hauls most everything I need to. It has been the perfect vehicle to live with. - 5.0
Amazing

I've never driven in a car with such smooth acceleration, be it electric or ICE, sports car or truck. At the same time, it's eerily quiet. I can easily talk on the car's bluetooth system without having to raise my voice and I have had people tell me that they didn't even realize I was driving. There were some kinks that Rivian needed to work out (the key fob's delayed responsiveness being the most annoying), but it has gotten better with every update. For those of you wondering about the range, with the standard 21" tires, if I am driving nonstop (which means no long breaks where the battery has to warm up afterwards), I am seeing a range of about 334 miles in conserve mode and 303 in all-purpose mode. The EPA estimates are quite accurate. The vehicle's real-time range estimates are very accurate too--it seems to take into account your driving history and conditions, whereas Tesla's estimates are always too optimistic and only reflect optimal conditions. I've had no mechanical issues, thankfully, and the build quality (delivered in late September) seemed to be excellent without panel gaps or trim issues that perhaps some of the earliest deliveries had. The one time I needed service was when Rivian announced a recall, and they sent out a technician to my home to repair it within days. Amazing! I may never have to take this truck into a shop, at least not for any work that is covered under warranty. All in all, Rivian has exceeded all my expectations. I am patiently waiting for them to expand their charging network on the east coast, which is far from adequate, but I understand that this can't happen overnight and I am willing to put up with third party charging until then!
