Two shops at one address
Huntley Ford runs a Quick Lane and a Ford Service Department out of the same building on Automall Drive. They keep different hours, take different work, and answer different phone numbers. Most dealer service pages treat that as one thing. It is not, and picking the wrong one costs you a morning.

The Service Department
Ford-trained technicians, Ford diagnostic equipment and genuine Ford and Motorcraft parts. This is where warranty work, recall repairs and anything specific to a Ford model gets done, and it is the only one of the two shops that can close out a recall against your VIN.
- Warranty repairs, safety recalls and Ford field service actions
- Diagnosis when a warning light or a noise has no obvious cause
- Engine, transmission, suspension, cooling and electrical repair
- Genuine Ford and Motorcraft parts, with a two-year warranty at unlimited mileage that includes labor
- Work recorded against the VIN in Ford’s own system, so the history travels with the vehicle

Quick Lane
Quick Lane at Huntley Ford is a separate shop with its own counter, its own phone number and its own hours. Ford’s description of what it takes is “all vehicle makes and models,” so the household Honda goes in the same queue as the F-150 — and it stays open an hour later than the Service Department on weekdays.
- Oil change and essential maintenance, tires, brakes, batteries, wheel alignment
- Alternator and electrical, cooling system, transmission service, suspension and steering
- Belts and hoses, lamps and bulbs, wiper blades
- At no charge with a visit: vehicle check-up report, tire inspection, battery inspection and fluid top-offs
- Motorcraft and Omnicraft parts, and Ford’s Low Price Tire Guarantee

Four ways to get the work done
Two of them do not involve driving here at all.
- Book onlineFord’s scheduler, open around the clock. Pick the work, the date, and whether you will wait.
- Walk in to Quick LaneNo appointment, any make, until 7 p.m. on weekdays and 3 p.m. on Saturday.
- Ford Mobile ServiceA technician drives to your home or work. Routine work only — oil and filter, tire rotation, wiper blades, air and cabin filters, battery test, and certain recalls.
- Ford Pickup and DeliveryComplimentary. We collect the vehicle, service it here and bring it back. Drivable vehicles only, and the parts and repair charges are still yours.

Mobile service and pickup are not the same thing
Both keep you out of the waiting room, and they cover different work. Mobile Service brings a technician and a van to you, so it is limited to what can be done on a driveway. Pickup and Delivery brings the vehicle here, so anything the Service Department can do is on the table.
- Mobile Service: oil and filter, tire rotation, wiper blades, air and cabin air filters, battery test and cleaning, and certain recalls
- Pickup and Delivery: all warranty and customer-pay repairs, provided the vehicle is drivable
- Neither covers a vehicle that will not move — that is a roadside event
- A loaner may or may not be available; ask when you book
The work, and the page that covers it
Each of these has its own page with the detail, the intervals and what it costs to leave it.
Oil change and filter
Motorcraft oil and filter, and the multi-point check that comes with it. What the Intelligent Oil-Life Monitor is telling you, and what The Works covers.
Oil changeTires, rotation and alignment
Tires for every Ford we sell and most vehicles we do not, plus rotation, balancing and alignment. Ford’s Low Price Tire Guarantee applies here.
TiresBrake inspection and repair
Pads, rotors, calipers, fluid and the inspection that tells you which of them you actually need. Ford’s Lifetime Brake Pad Guarantee applies to qualifying pads.
Brake repairBattery testing and replacement
A free battery test at Quick Lane with any visit, and Motorcraft batteries when the test says the answer is a new one rather than a charge.
Battery serviceScheduled maintenance
The intervals in your owner’s manual, what is actually due at each one, and the items people skip — cabin air filter, transmission fluid, coolant, spark plugs.
MaintenanceRecall and field service action check
We run your VIN against Ford’s open list. The repair is free at any Ford dealer, and a history report saying recalls were completed does not answer the question.
Recall checkGenuine Ford parts
The parts counter keeps the Service Department’s hours and will order what it does not stock. Ford and Motorcraft parts carry a two-year warranty at unlimited mileage that includes labor.
PartsAccessories
Ford Licensed Accessories and Ford Performance parts — bed liners, tonneau covers, running boards, roof racks, floor liners — installed here so they stay inside the vehicle’s warranty terms.
AccessoriesThe Ford app and Ford Rewards
Book service, check your fuel level, and lock, unlock or start your Ford from your phone. Ford Rewards Points earned on service and parts here go toward future service and accessories.
Ford app and Rewards
Check the recall list before you book anything else
A safety recall or a Ford field service action is repaired at no charge at any franchised Ford dealer — whatever the mileage, whatever the age, and whether or not you bought the vehicle here or are its first owner. It is the cheapest work we do, and it is the work people most often do not know they are owed.
| Model | Model year | Open campaigns |
|---|---|---|
| Explorer | 2025 | 20 |
| Mustang | 2025 | 6 |
| Expedition | 2025 | 5 |
| F-350 Super Duty | 2026 | 4 |
| F-450 Super Duty | 2025 | 4 |
Some campaigns exist only to redo an earlier repair that was performed incorrectly, and NHTSA issues each of those as a new campaign number. Three of the thirteen campaigns on the F-150 Lightning are re-repairs of an earlier one. The 2025 Explorer carries two separate campaigns covering the same rear-seat switch, issued a year apart. So a vehicle history report that says the recalls were done does not answer the question — the open list has to be pulled against the VIN today. That takes us a minute and costs nothing.
Have the VIN?Bring it in, or call it through, and we will read the open list back to you before you decide anything else.Recall Check

What a franchise service department has that a general shop does not
Not everything — a good independent shop will do a brake job perfectly well, and often for less. These are the four things that are actually different.
Recall and field service action work
Only a franchised Ford dealer can perform a safety recall or a field service action, and only a dealer can read the open list against your VIN. Nobody else has that database.
Ford’s own training and diagnostic equipment
Ford’s technician training is written by the company that engineered the vehicle, and the diagnostic hardware is the factory’s. On a current Ford, most faults are found in software before anything is unbolted.
A parts warranty that includes labor
Ford and Motorcraft parts installed here carry a two-year warranty at unlimited mileage, and the warranty covers the labor to fit the replacement. Most aftermarket parts carry a parts-only warranty.
The service history stays with the VIN
Work done at a Ford dealer is recorded against the vehicle in Ford’s own system rather than in one shop’s filing cabinet, so it is still there when the vehicle is appraised or sold.
Where our service customers drive from
Route 47 at I-90 puts the service drive within a short run of most of McHenry and Kane County. Quick Lane taking any make is why a household that owns one Ford and one of something else usually brings both.

Service questions we are asked
Do I need an appointment for an oil change?
Not at Quick Lane. It takes walk-ins on any make and model, Monday to Friday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Service Department works by appointment, which you can book online or by calling (847) 669-6060.
Do you service vehicles that are not Fords?
Quick Lane does. Ford’s own description of it is “all vehicle makes and models,” and it covers oil, tires, brakes, batteries, alignment, belts and hoses, lamps and wipers. The Service Department is set up for Ford and Lincoln, because that is where the factory training, the diagnostic equipment and the parts are.
What are the service hours at Huntley Ford?
The Service Department and the parts counter are open Monday to Friday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., closed Sunday. Quick Lane opens at the same time, stays open until 7 p.m. on weekdays and closes at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
Is a recall repair free?
Yes. A safety recall or a Ford field service action is performed at no charge at any franchised Ford dealer, whatever the vehicle’s age or mileage, whether or not you bought it here, and whether or not you are the original owner.
How do I find out whether my Ford has an open recall?
By VIN, not by model. Call (847) 669-6060 and we will read the open list back to you, or enter the VIN yourself at NHTSA’s recall lookup. A vehicle history report that says recalls were completed is a different question — some campaigns exist only to redo an earlier repair that was done incorrectly, and those are issued as new campaign numbers.
Does Ford Pickup and Delivery cost anything?
The collection and return are complimentary. The parts and the repair are still charged as normal. It covers warranty and customer-pay work on a vehicle that drives; a vehicle that will not move needs roadside assistance instead, and some distance limits apply.
Will I get a loaner vehicle?
A loaner may or may not be available, and alternatives may be offered instead. Ask when you book rather than when you arrive.
What warranty comes with the parts you fit?
Ford and Motorcraft parts installed at a Ford dealer carry a two-year warranty at unlimited mileage, and the warranty includes the labor to fit the replacement.
Can I wait while the work is done?
Yes for Quick Lane work, which is what the shop is built around. For Service Department work, ask for a time estimate when you book — every job is different and the advisor will tell you at that point.
Ask the service department directly
If the question is about your vehicle rather than about the shop, the advisor can answer it faster than a page can.
Book it, or walk in
If it is oil, tires, brakes or a battery, Quick Lane will take you today without an appointment. If it is a warning light, a recall or anything under warranty, book the Service Department so the right technician and the right parts are waiting.
Sources. Service, parts and Quick Lane hours were confirmed with the dealership in October 2026. Quick Lane’s phone number and service list are Ford’s own store record for Quick Lane at Huntley Ford, store QLC81, read Sept. 9, 2026. Recall counts are NHTSA’s, pulled from api.nhtsa.gov on Sept. 9, 2026, and change as campaigns are issued — the count that matters is the one against your VIN today.
