Book your service appointment

Ford’s scheduling tool, for the Service Department and Quick Lane at 13900 Automall Drive. It will ask for your phone number and text you a code, or you can book as a new customer without an account.

Not loading? Open the scheduler in a new tab — or call (847) 669-6060 and we will book it with you.

The scheduler is operated by Ford Motor Company. Anything you enter goes to Ford and to this dealership; nothing on this page collects it.

Before you book

Two shops, one address — pick the right one

There are two service operations at 13900 Automall Drive and they do not keep the same hours or take work the same way. Booking into the wrong one is the most common reason a visit takes longer than it should.

  • By appointment

    The Service Department

Ford and Lincoln. Anything that needs diagnosis, a lift or more than an hour: brakes, suspension, a warning light that will not clear, a noise you cannot place, and every recall. Book it above.

  • Walk in, any make

    Quick Lane

No appointment needed and it is not only for Fords. Oil changes, tires and rotations, batteries, wipers, bulbs and the free vehicle check-up. See Quick Lane for today’s hours.

  • We come to you

    Mobile Service

For routine work at your home or office, at no charge for the visit itself. Book it the same way and say where the vehicle will be — see Mobile Service for what the van covers.

What to have with you when you book

  • The mileage. It decides which items on the maintenance schedule are actually due, and whether you are on Ford’s normal schedule or the severe one. A guess to the nearest thousand is fine.
  • What it is doing, not what you think it needs. “A grinding noise when I brake, only in the morning” books better than “I need brakes.” The first one gets the right time allocated; the second sometimes gets the wrong repair quoted.
  • When it started, and whether it is getting worse. Two weeks and steady is a different appointment from three days and worsening.
  • Whether you are waiting or leaving it. Say so at booking rather than at the counter — it changes which slot suits you.
  • Any open recall. Free, and it can usually be folded into the same visit rather than becoming a second trip. Check the VIN first; it takes about ten seconds.
What to expect

What happens after you book

No surprises is most of the job. Here is the shape of a normal visit.

  • A confirmation from Ford. The tool is Ford’s, so the confirmation comes from Ford with the date, time and what you asked for on it. Check the job description on it — that is the thing worth correcting before the day rather than after.
  • A write-up when you arrive. An advisor confirms what you have described and what will be looked at. If something on the maintenance schedule is due at your mileage you will be told what and why, and you can decline any of it.
  • A multi-point inspection. Ford asks for one at every service interval, so it happens whether or not you booked for it. It is where a worn brake or a battery in its fifth year gets found while it is still cheap.
  • A call before anything extra. Nothing beyond what you approved gets done without asking you first. If the answer is no, that is a normal answer.
  • The findings, in three piles. Urgent, can wait, fine. “Can wait” is a real category and it is worth having it named rather than folded into the estimate.
What it costs, honestly

We are not going to quote you a figure on a booking page for a job we have not seen. What we can do is point at the numbers that are published: what the maintenance schedule actually asks for at your mileage, why brake pads can be free for the life of the vehicle on a Ford, what a Motorcraft battery costs, and what is on service coupons this month. If a price matters before you commit, call (847) 669-6060 and ask before you book.

Other ways

If the tool is not what you want

The scheduler is the fastest route for most jobs. It is not the only one, and for some jobs it is not the best one.

  • The FordPass app. If your vehicle is in FordPass you can book from the app, and the appointment lands in the same system as the one above.
  • Ford Mobile Service. For routine work at home or at the office. Ford does not charge for the visit itself.
  • Ford Pickup and Delivery. We collect the vehicle, service it here and bring it back. The right answer for the jobs that need a lift when you cannot spare the trip.
  • A tow or roadside assistance. If the vehicle will not start or is not safe to move, that is a different call — and the wrong one to make through a booking form. Call (847) 669-6060 and we will point you at the right one.
Questions

Booking questions we are asked

How do I schedule a Ford service appointment?

Use the tool at the top of this page — it is Ford’s own scheduler, set to this dealership. Pick what the vehicle needs, choose a day and a time, and confirm with your phone number or as a new customer. You can also call (847) 669-6060, book in the FordPass app, or drive into Quick Lane with no appointment at all.

Do I have to get my Ford serviced by Ford?

No. You are entitled to have maintenance done wherever you like and it does not void your warranty. What matters is that the scheduled maintenance is actually performed to Ford’s specification and that you keep the records — Ford’s own wording is that it “urges you to have all recommended maintenance services performed at the specified intervals and to record all vehicle service.” Where a dealer is genuinely required is narrower and worth knowing: recalls and field service actions, warranty repairs, and Ford module software updates can only be done by a franchise dealer. Two Ford programs are also dealer-only by their terms — the Lifetime Brake Pad Guarantee needs Motorcraft pads installed by a Ford, Lincoln or Quick Lane technician, and Motorcraft battery warranties include towing only on dealer-installed batteries.

How much does Ford charge for a maintenance service?

It depends on what is due at your mileage, which is a shorter list than most people expect — Ford schedules the automatic transmission fluid at 150,000 miles on a current F-150 and the coolant at 200,000. See scheduled maintenance for what Ford actually asks for and when, and service coupons for what is live this month. If a figure matters before you book, call (847) 669-6060 with your year, model and mileage.

What is a Ford scheduled service?

The recurring visit Ford asks for at every oil change — oil and filter, tire rotation with the tread measured, a multi-point inspection, and a list of things inspected from the brakes to the halfshaft boots. Ford does not sell it as a 30,000- or 60,000-mile package the way some manufacturers do. The full list is on scheduled maintenance.

Do I need an appointment for an oil change?

Not if you use Quick Lane — it takes walk-ins, on any make. Booking above still gets you a known time, which on a Saturday morning is worth having. See oil change for what The Works covers.

What if the scheduler will not load?

It is hosted by Ford rather than by us, and some browser privacy settings block third-party frames. There is a link under the tool that opens the same scheduler in its own tab, which gets past that. Failing both, call (847) 669-6060 — we can book exactly the same slots from this end.

Can I change or cancel an appointment?

Yes. The confirmation Ford sends carries the appointment details; you can rebook through the same tool or call (847) 669-6060. Telling us you cannot make it is genuinely useful — that slot goes to somebody else the same morning.

How far ahead should I book?

For a wait-in job, earlier in the week and earlier in the day gets you out faster. Saturdays and the first cold snap of the year are the two predictable rushes — a battery that is going to fail in November is much easier to deal with in September. See batteries for why that is.

Can I wait with the vehicle?

For most Quick Lane work, yes. For anything that needs diagnosis, ask when you book — the honest answer varies by the job, and being told “this is a drop-off” in advance is better than discovering it in the waiting room.

Do you service vehicles that are not Fords?

Quick Lane does, on any make and model — oil, tires, batteries, wipers, bulbs and the inspection. The Service Department is Ford and Lincoln. If you are not sure which side your vehicle falls on, call (847) 669-6060 and ask before booking.
