Quick Lane walk-in service in Huntley, IL
Drive in without booking, on any make and model. Quick Lane is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, and it has its own phone number: (847) 669-5804.
Do I need an appointment?
No. Ford’s own description of a Quick Lane is “no appointment necessary”, and that is the whole reason the shop exists as a separate counter from the Service Department. Drive in, hand over the keys, and wait for it if you would rather not come back.

- Motorcraft and OmnicraftFord parts for Fords, Omnicraft for the rest
- Free check-up with a visitReport, tire and battery inspection, top-offs

The page this one replaces published the showroom’s hours against the Quick Lane heading, and the main switchboard number instead of the shop’s. The hours and the number on this page are Ford’s own record for this store. Call (847) 669-5804 before a late drop-off and you will always be certain.
How long does an oil change take?
Long enough to be worth planning, short enough to wait for. What actually decides it is not the oil — draining and refilling is quick — but everything around it: how many vehicles are in front of you, and how much else gets done while yours is on the lift.
- When you arrive is most of the answer. Seven in the morning and the middle of a weekday afternoon are quiet. Saturday morning and the hour after five are when everybody else has the same idea.
- The free check-up is part of the visit, not an extra. A vehicle check-up report, a tire inspection, a battery inspection and fluid top-offs come with the job. They add a few minutes and they are the reason a walk-in oil change is worth more than the oil.
- A rotation usually rides along. The wheels are already off the ground. If your tires are due, saying so at the counter is cheaper and faster than a second trip — see tire service.
- Anything found is quoted, not started. A worn wiper or a battery at the end of its life gets shown to you with a price before a single part goes on.
- How long it takes. Ford does not publish a duration for Quick Lane and we will not invent one. Call (847) 669-5804 and ask what today looks like — they will tell you, and it takes less time than driving over to find out.
Two other routes exist and both are on this site. Book a service appointment and drop the vehicle at a time you choose, or have the work done where the vehicle already is — Ford Mobile Service brings a technician to your driveway, and Ford Pickup and Delivery collects the vehicle and brings it back.
What Quick Lane does
Routine maintenance, on any make. This is Ford’s published list for this store, in plain order — and it is longer than most people expect from a shop with “quick” in the name.
- Oil change and essential maintenance. The job most walk-ins come for, and the one the maintenance schedule puts first.
- Tires, rotations and wheel alignment. Fitting, balancing, rotating and aligning, with Ford’s Low Price Tire Guarantee behind the price.
- Brake service. Pads, rotors and the inspection that tells you whether you need either yet.
- Batteries. Tested free, replaced while you wait, and a Motorcraft battery installed here carries complimentary towing.
- Alternator and electrical system. The charging side of a battery problem, which is what a new battery does not fix.
- Air conditioning and cooling system.
- Transmission service.
- Suspension and steering.
- Belts and hoses, lamps and bulbs, wiper blades. The five-minute items that fail an inspection and ruin a drive home in the dark.
- Scheduled maintenance intervals and EV maintenance. Ford lists both for this store. Confirm the electric side at the counter before you drive over.
What comes with the visit, whatever you came in for
Free
vehicle check-up report
A written record of what was looked at and what it found — not a verbal “looks fine”. It is the part of a walk-in visit worth the most and the part nobody advertises.
Free
tire and battery inspection
Tread and pressure on all four, and a battery test. Two of the three most common reasons a car strands somebody, checked without being asked.
Free
fluid top-offs, and a rotation with four tires
Fluids topped up as part of the visit, and a tire rotation at no charge when you buy a set of four.
What is the difference between Quick Lane and the Service Department?
They are in the same building on Automall Drive and they are not the same shop. The rule that decides it: Quick Lane is for work that is already known, on any make. The Service Department is for work that has to be diagnosed, or that only a Ford franchise may do.
- Quick Lane
You already know what you want done
An oil change. A rotation. Four tires. A battery. Wipers, bulbs, belts, an alignment. Any make, no appointment, and no advisor to book with — you drive in and join the queue.
- Service Department
Something needs finding, or only Ford may do it
A warning light, a noise, a leak, a recall, a warranty repair, a module software update, engine or transmission work. Ford and Lincoln, by appointment, with a technician and the parts booked to your vehicle.
- Either
When you are not sure
Call (847) 669-5804 and describe it. If it belongs on the other side of the building they will say so, and it costs you a phone call instead of a morning.
Recalls, warranty repairs and Ford module software updates can only be carried out by a Ford franchise dealer. They are free of charge and they belong to the Service Department, however small the job looks — check whether your vehicle has one open before you drive in for anything else, because the two can often be done on the same visit.
Is Quick Lane part of Ford?
Yes. Quick Lane Tire and Auto Center is Ford’s own network of walk-in service shops, run inside Ford dealerships. This one is Quick Lane at Huntley Ford, store QLC81, at 13900 Auto Mall Drive. That is why it takes any make and still installs factory parts.
- Ford technicians, Ford parts, any vehicle. Quick Lane’s own line is that it will “get it done the right way with quality parts from trusted brands like Motorcraft.” Motorcraft is Ford’s parts brand; Omnicraft is the range Ford makes for non-Ford vehicles, which is how one shop can service a Honda and an F-150 out of the same parts department.
- The Low Price Tire Guarantee comes with it. Ford’s published wording is “find a better price within 30 days, and we’ll beat it on over a dozen major tire brands for all makes and models.” Beat, not match — and the thirty days run from the purchase, which is when people actually go looking. Full detail on tire service.
- It is not a franchise quick-lube. The work is written up on a dealership repair order, so it counts as service history, Ford Service offers apply to it, and anything found gets referred to the Service Department in the same building rather than to somebody else’s.
What does Quick Lane cost?
Less than the reputation of the word “dealer” suggests, and the current numbers are published rather than quoted at the counter.
- The live offers are on one page. Ford’s service offers change monthly and carry expiry dates, so they live on service coupons instead of being printed here where they would go stale.
- An oil change is priced as a package, not a line item. What The Works includes, and what it costs, is on oil change — eight items for one price, which is the honest comparison against a quick-lube’s headline number.
- Tires are price-guaranteed rather than discounted. The Low Price Tire Guarantee beats a better price found within thirty days, which removes the reason to shop around after the fact.
- Ford Rewards Points spend like money here. A battery, for instance, can be taken in points instead of cash — see batteries.
- Walk-in prices for the small jobs. Wipers, bulbs, an alignment and a rotation on their own are quoted at the counter. Call (847) 669-5804 for today’s price.
Where to go, and when
Quick Lane is at the dealership, 13900 Automall Drive, and it has its own entrance and its own counter. Drive round the right-hand side of the building to the open bays rather than into the showroom.

Round the side, not through the showroom
The bays are on the right-hand side of the building as you look at it from Automall Drive. Pull up outside them and somebody will come to you — there is no need to park first and walk in.

Quick Lane questions we are asked
Do I need an appointment at Quick Lane?
No. Ford’s description of the Quick Lane network is “no appointment necessary”, and this store is open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. If you would rather have a fixed time, the Service Department books online — see schedule service.
Does Quick Lane service cars that are not Fords?
Yes. Ford’s own wording for what a Quick Lane takes is “all vehicle makes and models”, and Ford makes a parts range called Omnicraft specifically for non-Ford vehicles. The household Honda joins the same queue as the F-150.
Who owns Quick Lane?
Ford Motor Company. Quick Lane Tire and Auto Center is Ford’s network of walk-in service shops, operated inside Ford dealerships — this one is store QLC81 at Huntley Ford. It is not an independent franchise that happens to sit next door.
Is Quick Lane cheaper than the Service Department?
For the same job it is the same dealership, so the difference is not really price — it is that you do not need an appointment and you can wait for it. Where the money actually moves is the offers: Ford’s service coupons apply either way, and tires carry the Low Price Tire Guarantee. Current numbers are on service coupons.
How long will I be there?
It depends far more on when you arrive than on the job. Early morning and mid-afternoon on a weekday are the quiet windows; Saturday morning and just after five are the busy ones. Call (847) 669-5804 and ask what the wait looks like today before you set off.
Can I wait while the work is done?
That is what the shop is designed for — routine work, done while you wait, without booking. For anything longer, Ford Pickup and Delivery takes the vehicle away and brings it back instead.
Can Quick Lane do my recall?
No, and neither can anybody but a Ford franchise dealer. Recalls are free of charge and are carried out by the Service Department in the same building — check whether yours has one open, and it can often be done on the same visit as routine work.
Will a Quick Lane visit count as service history?
Yes. The work is written up on a dealership repair order against your vehicle, the same as anything done by the Service Department, so it is on the record when the vehicle is sold or a warranty question comes up.
What do I get for nothing when I come in?
A vehicle check-up report, a tire inspection, a battery inspection and fluid top-offs come with a visit, and a tire rotation is free with the purchase of four tires. Those are Ford’s published items for this store.
Is the Quick Lane phone number the same as the dealership’s?
No, and this is worth writing down: Quick Lane answers on (847) 669-5804, while the Service Department and the showroom are on (847) 669-6060. The page this one replaces printed the switchboard number against the Quick Lane heading, which is how people end up in a queue for the wrong counter.
Drive in when it suits you
No appointment, any make, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and 7 to 3 on Saturday. If you want to know what the wait looks like first, the counter will tell you.
Quick Lane hours, the Quick Lane phone number, the service list, the free inspection items and the store number QLC81 are Ford’s own published record for Quick Lane at Huntley Ford, read Sept. 10, 2026. The dealership confirmed the Quick Lane hours and phone number in October 2026. The Low Price Tire Guarantee wording is Ford’s published offer text. “All vehicle makes and models”, the Motorcraft and Omnicraft parts and the service list also appear on the page this one replaces. Ford does not publish a typical duration for a Quick Lane visit and none is stated here. Recalls, warranty repairs and Ford module software updates can only be performed by a Ford franchise dealer. Ford, Motorcraft, Omnicraft, FordPass and Quick Lane are trademarks of Ford Motor Company. Confirm current hours and prices before traveling.
